Instructions
Measure the chest, neck and back length of your dog. This will ensure that the sweater fits properly and will not inhibit your dog’s movement. Lay the fleece fabric flat on a table and trace a simple sweater pattern based off the measurements of your dog. Cut out the sweater pattern leaving a 1/2 inch seam allowance.
Use a sewing machine to sew the shoulder and side seams to get the basic shape of the sweater. You’ll then want to thread two nylon straps across the dog’s back, in a sort of harness-style pattern. Sew them into the sweater, and make sure to reinforce each stitch several times.
Attach a sturdy metal D-ring to the center back of your dog’s body where the leash will be attached. Make sure the D-ring is comfortably between the shoulder blades so the pulling pressure is distributed evenly.
This harness keeps your dog warm during cold weather but provides a gentle control during walks.
Expert Crafting Tip: You can sew on the double-sided webbing using a sewing machine or by hand using a double row of stitches where the straps attach to the sweater so the harness will remain strong even if your dog pulls on the leash.

Instructions
Measure around your dog’s chest and shoulders to determine the length of straps needed for the chest loop, which should be longer, and one strap that crosses over the back of your dog.
Thread one end of the chest strap through the adjustable buckle so that the harness can be tightened or made larger. Make sure the strap is sewn well, so the buckle stays attached.
Place the second strap across the dog’s back and attach it to a metal D-ring at the opposite end of the saddle. The lead will clip onto the ring. Make sure that the straps form a comfortable loop around the dog’s chest and that they don’t rub his legs.
This design helps the dog walk comfortably, avoiding pressure on the neck of the animal, and it’s healthier.

Instructions
Measure your puppy’s chest and neck to trace an easy pattern for the harness. Cut two pieces of cotton fabric the same size and one piece of soft padding for the inside of the harness.
Stack the pieces on top of each other and stitch around the edges, leaving a small opening so you can turn the fabric inside out. Once inside out, top stitch around the edges.
Attach a small metal ring at the centre back and reinforce the stitching around it. Add Velcro or a small buckle on the sides so that the harness can be easily opened and closed when it’s put on your puppy.

Instructions
First, let’s start by making the chest plate pattern that is similar to your dog’s chest. You should cut two layers of fabric and one layer of foam padding with the same pattern.
Sew the pieces together and turn the piece right side out so that the padding is between the two layers of fabric. Sew a 1/4″ or 1/2″ seam around the edge.
Attach the adjustable nylon straps to both sides of the chest panel so the harness will fit snugly around the dog’s body. Add a metal D-ring to the top, center of the chest panel where the leash will attach.
This design doesn’t add any pressure on the dog’s back so he feels more comfortable when walking long hours.

Instructions
Measure the dog’s chest and cut out the fabric pieces to make the central part of the harness. Sew the panel together with reinforced seams so that it will not tear on walks.
I added some straps to each side of the panel and made them adjustable so that it can fit around the dog’s chest comfortably. I added buckle clips so it’s easier to put on and take off.
Finally, sew a metal D-ring onto the top center of the harness panel to hook your dog’s leash to, and allow the dog to move around freely in the harness to ensure it fits properly.
If you like to take a walk daily, this design is perfect because it is comfortable at the same time secure and flexible.
Expert Crafting Tip: If you can slide two fingers under the harness straps, the fit is snug but not too tight.
