A bunch of kids spotted an injured dog on the roadside and quickly dialed 911, making a difference in the dog’s life!
Russ Harper, a humane police officer from Justice Rescue, arrived to rescue the young Pit Bull. Shockingly, he discovered the dog to be unresponsive and icy to the touch when he lifted him up.
Harper initially believed the dog was lifeless. That was until he noticed a glimmer of hope, a sign that the pup was still alive.
Harper quickly took the dog, whom he named Remi, to the Keystone Veterinary Emergency Clinic located in Havertown, PA. This young pup had endured horrific treatment as a bait dog for fighters, leaving him with numerous bite wounds all over his body.
The Pit Bull is currently battling a serious infection.
While there are encouraging signs of recovery, it’s clear that the dog still has a ways to go.
Remi is under constant observation at the veterinary clinic.
“He’s still facing challenges,” shares Justice Rescue. “However, it’s clear that his dedicated caregivers are providing exceptional support for this global hero.”
