This is the kind of scene that I’ve grown so accustomed to that I don’t even notice the hubbub anymore. But when I saw this picture, I had to take a step back. These four small dogs (presumably someone’s kids’ golden retriever) have basically commandeered the entire couch, and yet it looks like a scene out of a Pinterest board. Don’t worry, the dogs were just chilling on the sofa, one afternoon.
Here, the sofa is a light gray, linen-blend sectional, but I recently threw a few loose white throws over the cushions. We love layers and I love how adding washable cotton throw blankets over the couch in white and cream makes it look intentional.
The pillows in the back are geometric print, blue and white accent pillows, which you could probably find at Target or HomeGoods for under $20. They give a pop of pattern without looking overdone.
And my husband is so proud of me because I’ve found another way to avoid cleaning up dog hair by using my new dog throw blanket. Who knew that a flat, tightly woven throw blanket would repel dog hair better than a fluffy one? Now he doesn’t have to spend 10 minutes lint rolling a blanket that was on the sofa for 30 seconds. LOL!

It happened again today. Someone came over to my house and their eyes went immediately to “that one thing” on the wall. This is “that one thing” A hand-painted watercolor dachshund portrait on warm browns with soft cream background and those big soulful eyes. My kinda art…even if I didn’t paint it.

Okay, as soon as I saw this I grabbed my phone and sent it to you because this is the kind of cuddly love your golden retriever demands every single morning! Look at these two little dachshunds, one a rich chocolate dapple, one a cream merle, all snuggled up and entwined in each other on this super soft looking white duvet. I’m not okay with the way their paws are draped over each other!
I love how crisp and clean this look is. Here are my picks for replicating this style at home!
